Well Stardust,

Putting ratings would open up a vast amount of contraversy which I aviod like the plague .
I suggest that you review before you buy.
Another issue is that some are field guides and some are texts, so ratings would be a bit like comparing apples to oranges. For new bies I suggest Martin Moe's books then moveing up to other more picturesque texts like Julain Sprungs and Scott Micheals.
Understand that the books also cover different topics. Scot Micheals Book are almost stricktly husbandry, where as Sprung's are about the mechanics and science of it all. Since eeryone has different needs when it comes to educating themselves they know best on how technicle of a writing style they can comprehend.
