An inverted stawberry (plastic mesh) is great for target-feeding. It protects slow eaters (eyes the Brain) from quicker scavengers (eyes the shrimp). If you can't find one, make one out of plastic needlepoint canvis and fishing line.
Have a dedicated set of measuring cups and spoons *just for the tank* for medicating, measuring salt, etc - preferably in a funky colour that is easily distinguised from your regular kitchen wares.
Preferably get the above-mentioned turkey baster in a funky colour, too. Target is great for funky coloured kitchen stuff, and then you easily know which stuff is for blasting cyano and which is for the thanksgiving bird.
If you have a lot of buckets laying around the house, make sure you get different ones for the saltwater chores, or make a big X on the lids with brightly-coloured duct tape. This prevents accidentily using a bucket that had soap or other chemicals in it.
In other words, COLOUR-CODE EVERYTHING. If you are married (esp guys), choose a colour that your spouse hates - that way she'll know it isn't out of her kitchen.
