That's the entire problem, to kill the paracites, the medication has to be rather stong to be effective.

So, to be "reef safe" it either has to be ineffective, so it will not kill anything, or it's got to kill other stuff like pods, bacteria, and so on.

Despite what that label says, I don't consider any medication "reef safe". I know of too many cases where the disease isn't cured and/or the med killed other stuff in the tank.

A note on your original post. If you saw the disease after only 3 days, the fish likely had the disease to start with. You just didn't see it yet because the paracites were not yet large enough to easily see. The only get large when they are ready to drop off and reproduce.
