I was planning on keeping the lower tank(s) 24" off the floor. What about on on each side of the door with the connector? That will keep them where they are the right height for viewing and make my wife happy by occasionally having fish swim overhead. I could put the fuges over them but leave in the equipment room not visible from the main room. That way I can still benefit from the macros(and enjoy viewing them myself anyway). I would like to make these as simple as possible. Maybe fuge above one display and sump above the other but still in the equipment room
