After trying to give this tank as much thought as possible when building I believe that I have a serious issue on my hands.
I went with the Reeflo Dart and an OM 4-way for circulation within the tank. Believe it or not I don't think I have enough flow to sustain SPS corals. The Dart isn't opened up all the way but pretty close (85-90%). I can't open it up any further without digging a big gully in my sand bed. I may have drilled the output holes a bit too low. I am getting a nice laminar flow but it is very week at the top of the tank. Awhile back I move one SPS from the frag tank and it appeared to almost immediately decline. I put it back in the frag tank and it perked up. The only difference I see in the two areas is the flow rate.
So how slow is the flow across the top of the tank? See for yourself.

I think I'm going to have to add powerheads afterall.
