Chuck, I have this problem in my HOB overflow. My overflow output tube is laying on the bottom of the sump in it filter sock. If I raise it up so that it's not 12" into the water, would that stop my surging?

I always liked the smell of it and seemed to put me in a good mood while building things. 
It has to dry a bit more before I road test the new holder. Right now I have some surging in the overflow and part of the problem is that the overflow tube is beneath the water line in the sump and causing a bit of back pressure. When I put the new sock holder in the sump I'll cut the overflow tube off a bit and I think that problem will be solved as well. |
