Yeah, it's just sitting there blowing bubbles and looking pretty right now. It's only been a few hours and not skimming a great deal. Still playing with the adjustment tube also. I suppose it will be a couple weeks before it hits it's stride.
I probably should have put a gate valve in line on the outlet, but the plumbing on this thing is all metric. It does provide adapters for several different options, but I just used the pipe that came with the skimmer, for the most part.
I still can't believe I got it in my stand. Their listed footprint was accurate. I knew it was going to be a tight fit. The one thing that I did have to do that I had not planned for, was position the skimmer back more than I had anticipated. I had to get some ventilation to the air cooling holes in the back of the pump housing. So, I placed the whole skimmer assembly on a board and pushed it back, so that the pump protruded a little from the back of the open stand. At least now it is getting some air and it is not running any hotter than the Dart on the closed loop.
