Well my Mantis Tiny has no determination to be destructive.
Last night I added another large snail as soon as it drop in he was all over it.
I was so glad to see him grab the snail and take off for once again I thought
was going to be a treat. Tiny decides to turn the snail upside down and grab
some sand to but in the snails opening. Since I thought he was not hungry enough
to eat the snail and just play with it; I went in and turn the snail over and sand out.
I figure if he was not going to eat the snail let him live. Well this went on for 3 to 4 more times to finally I gave up and went to bed. This morning the snail is still upside down with sand in it. My only reasoning for this is; maybe he is not hungry enough to eat right now but saving the snail for later meal (I hope). The sand in the snail shell will stop the snail from leaving or is there some other kind of madness to his action. The snail can't go far it's only a 20 gal. tank!!!
