My thoughts on the presidency is that we have over 300 million people in this country, and this current crop of canidates is the best we can come up with? It's no wonder we haven't had a good president for about 40 years.

Regretfully, it comes down to picking the lessor of two evils. Sure you could vote for an independent, but that only aids the major party you would least like to see win.

I'd like to see a reasonable third party arise. I don't think it will happen though. The two major parties go out of their way to prevent that from occurring.

Personally, I think George W Bush has been a complete disaster for the country, so I doubt I'll be voting Republican. On the other hand I don't think either of the Democratic contenders have enough experience to handle the job. Bottom line though, I don't think they could do any worse than what we have now.
