now i know where all the algae went, it seems that the built in overflow box has a refugium growing behind it. I never take the light down and go over the tank to look inside(behind) the overflow but just did and noticed a large amount of hair algae growing and others(no red though) I suppose this is good because 1. Its not visible from the outside and 2. its acting as a good source of nutrient export, no wonder why my Phosphate is so low. So far I havent seen this mentioned here and i'd like to get a little feedback on it. I was gonna clean it out but its not affecting flow to the sump, I checked the siphon intake and its clear so Im just gonna leave it be unless this is not advisable. If you dont have a refuge like me this is probably a pretty good thing no? An additional note, in the future I will be using a refuge on any new setup as this illustrates the need and value for one, so much so that if you dont have one, one will create itself in the system. Just glad it did where i cant see it lol.
