Very interesting subject once you look into it. These snails sound like quite a problem. I did read that a Canary, 6-line, or Leopard Wrasse will help keep these guys in check. Some say yes and others no. If you do have a clam I would be on the lookout for Nudis as well. Good luck with these guys. Sounds like manual removal is your best defense. If you are seeing them on the rockwork try sucking them up with a small siphon hose or turkey baster. Keep after them. There are plenty of pics on the net of these pest snails.
