I talked with my brother in law and he will get us a few samples in about 2 weeks. I told him what we are after as far as taking samples and he said no problem. I also asked him to write down the time and location the samples were took.

I received three packages today; talk about membership having it's privileges!! You certainly put your money where your mouth is.

Anyhow, I want to make sure I understand what you want us to do with all of this as the instructions aren't specific. Do you want me to measure each batch of makeup water or measure the levels in the tank after each water change? How often would you like me to take measurements?

I will keep an accurate account of everything I do over the next few weeks in order for your data to be as accurate as possible. I just want to be sure that I am tracking what it is you want me to track.

Talk about surprised. I thought I had bowed out of this because I just tore my 65 gal reef down for the upgrade but UPS showed up anyway.

Beside the questions asked above, I have a new one for you MDP. My 30 gal hold tank is an established tank however it is already 100% ME. I can do this experiment on that tank or I can use this Bio-Sea as a brand new 100% set up with my new 150 if that would give you useful data. I should be able to fill it with water within the next couple of weeks.

I am not complaining here MDP, just thought you might want to know how UPS treats your shipments. One of the boxes looked like it had been run over by the big brown truck. The original shipping carton was busted open and crushed. Four of the six bags of salt inside had busted open - and some of it got damp. They put all the salt bags in a plastic bag and put everything in another box. I should have taken pictures of it for you to see, but I was too busy cleaning up the mess. I hope this salt is ok. I cleaned it up real good and resealed the ripped portion of the bags with packing tape. Looks good to go at this point.
