Default Goniopora attack!!

HELP!!

I have a red goniopora colony that I found closed tight today when I got home. Upon close investigation, there are small brown spots scattered atop the closed polyps. I thought at first it was algae or something, but then one of the spots MOVED! Then another!! They seem to be some sort of parasite??

The things are small, about the size of a polyp (2-3mm across), semi-transparent, and circular in shape.

What are these things!?! Are they dangerous to the goniopora?

Please send me some info anyone! :P

THanks

yep...it's in my gallery. I believe they are red planaria (flatworms). I ran to my LFS with a pic and bought some eXit. I'd appreciate it if someone could verify, tho! Thanks!

It sounds like you do have a flatworm problem, and yo uare doing the right things.

Some species of flatworms are nota problem, but since you found them on your coral, they are most likely a species you want to be rid of.
