Default Aquarium Emergency - Posting Guidelines

Please note the word 'Emergency' in the forum title...

An emergency consists of:

1. Something going drastically wrong with your tank or it's inhabitants...
2. That requires 'immediate' action.

Example of an emergency scenario:

"Help! I just got home from vacation and discovered my power's been out for probably 3 days. Half the fish are dead, and the ones that aren't are all breathing heavily and staying near the sandbed. The corals are all either closed up or sliming. What do I do?"
(Of course this doesn't answer how they were able to post to the board with no power... but you get the idea...)

or another:

"Help! I was kicking back after work, and while fooling around with my tank, I knocked my beer/coffee/cola into my sump. Is there anything I need to worry about? What should I do?"

Here's an example of a non-emergency scenario:

"Help! I just bought a new coral today and need to know it's light/flow requirements before I put it in the tank. This is an emergency!!!"

Chances are if you think it's an emergency, it will be an emergency, but this should hopefully make it crystal clear...

Threads that do not fit the 'Emergency' requirement will be moved to the appropriate forum, and the thread starter will be publicly ridiculed...

Thanks for your cooperation.
