It should be pointed out that there are many uncommon types of reef tanks. Some include a mangrove "swamp" refugium. Others want an all natural or low tech reef. This is all fine, but if you plan to attempt one, make sure you know exactly what you are doing. Unusual systems are not for the new or inexperienced person.

Some hitchhikers are excellent to have, others must be removed. Apista and Majano anemones are things that should not be in a reef. Others like crabs and nudibrachs are questionable.

very new great thread will be reading everything this is a new hobby, only have had freshwater tanks before.
