How did you find RAG?

Just wondered how you found RAG, by search engine, referral, friend or stumbled upon us surfing the net.
I found it when I started to have an interest in setting up a Reef tank, did a search on Google and this was one of the forums that came up. I found it to be most helpful with very nice people that were kind in sharing the experience that the LFS could never have given me.
Please post how you found this forum.

i was looking at NANO-REEF.com. so i was looking at the sponsors... i think it was sea crop and there was a link at the bottom of their page...it said reef aquarium guide. so i clicked it and did some reading. i registered and never came back

a few weeks later i said "hmmm what was that cool site i went to" i looked and looked. then looked and looked some more. i couldnt find it again. finally i think 1 night in nano chat vern or val told me the name. ive been here all the time now

oh yea at first i didnt know that there were other forums...meaning the "freash 15" were all i read. i was like man this crap sucks...they should have forums for this....why dont they group this stuff into several forums.....then again vern or val told me there were other forums you just had to wait for the "tool bar" (dont know a better name) to load....sooo that helped alittle

Renee told me all about it. It is where I spend almost all my time. I do sometimes go other places but I never ask them any questions because they are rude, whereas RAG is not.

Well.... long story! LOL I actually came over here after a banned member from another site where I moderated posted about how "abused" he'd been by the other mentioned site and the moderator who had banned him (me!). Only joined to defend the site, didnt really care what he thought of me. Ended up becoming a MOD here as well and I've been here ever since! I love this place, nicest people in the world here!

don't exactly remember but i think it was a internet search and after lurking on many other sites i found this one to be informative and friendly.

I used a search engine...tried RC....but hated it...too many people too full of themselves was my first impression....somehow ended up here....joined and asked a question the first time I visited...

The answer to my question, while complete and to the point in a timely fashion, read in essence "go read some books...then read some other books....we can tell you, but it'd be better if you learned it yourself"

I did and the more I read, the more confident I became and one day I started answering basic questions!!! Some of those answers I posted, to my suprise are even close to being correct!!!!!!

next thing I know, I've been here a year and I can't help but visit every day when I can...

Did a Google search and found this site although didn't post for the first few weeks, just found it real friendly and not as huge and overwhelming as RC.
