Default Frilled Shark found off Japan

Thanks for the link, wild footage the gills looked messed up to me, maybe thats why the shark is so close to the surface?

Not really a pre-historic shark, it just has features that we associate more with early types of shark, rather than features we associate with more "modern" species. In car analogy, it is an early model, the more modern sharks are late model sports cars.

I've been around man, just not much to say I guess. I have been spending most of my time messing with my reptiles and spiders, haven't had much time for the reef lately. Well, back to the depths.

That shark died too if I remember correctly. Maybe he got kicked out of the abyss.
