Default Rico's 240 Gallon Money Pit(Twin 90's)

Hello again to all. My wife just informed me that it was time to move my reef down stairs to the yet unfinished basement. I am going to make a large billiard/game room for entertaining. It will be around 3 months or so before I get frame the walls. She(my wife) said that I can do whatever I want, so....here it goes.
First stage of course will be extensive planning. I have not set in stone any type of layout so feel free to offer suggestions or ideas even if they are radically different.
Here is a simple drawing of what I would like to do.
I have one question as of now....How difficult will/would it be to place a tube connecting the two main displays? I would imagine it would have to be acrylic.

Here's the preliminary lighting plan. The main displays are for mostly softies and maybe some LPS

Two separate systems would be cheaper.

Adding that connecting tube turns it into a custom job. I assume you want the tube to show as well through the wall. Definately a custom job and expect to pay through the nose for it.

I can't see this working "as is". My eye level in a doorway is approximately at the level where I have added a line.

The only real agenda that I have is to have at least two displays with one over the other and have both filled with radically different inhabitants

Both filled with radically different inhabitants? If they are connected, they won't be radically different, they will intermingle and become one.

That is something I didnt think about. I was shooting for something like a softie tank and then maybe a macro tank that only fish would/could travel between
