Dart pump question

I just turned the pump off to feed my fish and it did not want to restart. I could hear the motor running but no water movement.

The pump has been in service for 2 1/2 years with no issues.

Sound like i need to get a new one?

Have you ever cleaned the pump housing? Take the housing off and clean it with a tooth brush. It could be 'gunked' up.
They do have a three year warranty if you took care of it.

thanks for the advice. I have only been in the SW thing for a couple years and still learning equip and stuff. I have never cleaned this pump but did clean the iwaki the other day and it was all gunked up it never occured to me to clean the dart

thanks for the advice... I did get it started after turning it of and on 4 times. I am very thankful it started working again.

I removed the pump and cleaned it out. It is working perfect now.

Glad to hear that the pump is fine. Maybe someone will invent a gunkless pump motor. I'd buy for sure
