I fed my brain tonight. Got tired of guarding the food from other critters so I put a cut off soda bottle over him. Works pretty good.

Sorry about the flash but it was the only way to get the pics.

Chuck, nice pics; the tank looks great, its going to look even better when it fills in. BTW how do you like the ZEO reactor, have you noticed a difference?

Even though I'm using Zeo, I'm probably not the best one to ask about it. It's geared more for SPS tanks (although it has value for softies) and I'm a beginner at both SPS and Zeo so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I'm still thinking my colors need to "pop" more (In fact I know this) and yet a local reefer came over to the house the other day and commented on how much color I currently have. All in all - I'm still not sold yet. I will use it for at least a year before deciding to continue or discontinue it.

I'm still stoked that nothing is dying in my tank as for color I guess it pops with the few corals I have. My RBTA has nearly doubled in size already which I thought was amazing, the thing just eats whole silversides quickly. Well good luck with everything and keep me posted on what your final decision is on the ZEO reactor.

If gas prices get any higher that will be us here in the US shortly. My sister just bought a little scooter. It's kind of funny seeing her going down the road on it. It's even funnier when we spotted my overweight brother-in -law on it at the grocery store.

The other night when I fed the brain it was a piece of frozen ballyhoo that I wild caught, cleaned and froze. I thawed it with tank water and Selcon prior to feeding it to the coral.

It's amazing how big of a chunk they can actually eat but they eat VERY slow. Not sure how they keep ahold of their food in the wild without something comming along and stealing it from them.

I'M EXCITED !!!!

After the big ordeal with Hanna and buying all the instruments that were useless for testing, my Hanna Phosphate meter finally arrived today.

My tank is at .01 phosphates

Now if I could just find a Nitrate kit that I can believe in.

Hmmm - I went on to test my other tank. It was .01
I went on to test my RO/DI water and it was .01

Is it now safe to assume that the machine is off by .01?
