Yes - I did talk to Paul. If I let you drill them then I still won't get that much desired "sense of accomplishment".
I'm still debating with myself on this one. Have to read up on things more. I may not even use a diamond hole saw. Considering doing it freehand with a tile bit.

You are crazy if you are considering doing it free hand with a tile bit! IF you want to do a lot of tanks or want to be the nice guy in the club, get the brass or steel tube drills with the cutting powder, if you only want to do these tanks, then get the diamond hole saw.
Also get a wolfcraft drill guide, and you will be all set!
While I know you can drill tanks that way, it's not too neat and not my style. Like Patrick said get the right tools and do it right.
These are some pics I took when I drilled the 140. I use brass bits like Patrick was talking about. These are essentially just brass tubes. They wear through the glass with the aid of a slurry made of silicon carbide grain and water. I think they make the neatest holes. The last two are just links since I had more than 4 pics.
I tile bit will cost me about $8. I'll go to the local glass shop and pick up some 1/2" scraps and do some experimenting. THEN, I'll make my decision.
If the holes aren't perfect, they will be hidden within the bulkead anyway ??????

my sense of adventure is severly curtailed with the thought of having the one hole mess up or chatter, or skip be on that nice big large 150 gallon display!
Talk about customer service. They shipped the items "before" I actually paid for the 2 Darts. They shipped yesterday and it arrived today. The 2 flex nozzles were the incorrect items and they will be shipping the new ones out immediately. I ordered the dual nozzles instead of the singles.
OSB: I'm sure you'll read this at some point. What kind of noise level are you getting from your APF600? I'm seriously considering this as my skimmer for the new system. I have two ASM G3's and although I could probably mod them out and make them adequate I don't like the idea of the Sedra pump in my sump (too much heat).
I think it is down to the Deltec APF600 or an Aqua C EV 1000 or 2000.
The Aqua C's would require another pump - The Deltec I could pull from my overflow water.
The only other thing I'm wondering about with the Aqua C spray injection an maybe someone else can respond to this is that there must be a spray bar with very small holes in it to create the injection stream. How do these holes keep from being clogged? And what kind of noise level do these things produce?

I swapped out the Super Squirt that I had originally bought for a 4Way. Well, they didn't require me to send the SS back first. They sent the 4Way out immediately. Thay said I could hang on to the SS and ship it to the next customer they had that ordered the same combination of drum and extra drum that I ordered. Well, after about three months of having both units, I offered to send the SS back and did so. They never even asked for me to send it back.
Paul and Cass are both awesome to do business with.
Actually, that is what they are asking me to do with the flex nozzles I have. It really isn't worth shipping back through customs, etc so I'll just throw them in a drawer and when and if they get an order for just the two nozzles, they'll contact me and have me ship them to the person.

The spray injection uses a clover leaf shaped nozzle to incorporate air into the water where their patented spray hits the waters surface. I did not pay close enough attention to them when I was around them to really think about noise.
My APF600 is virtually silent. My setup will not allow me to feed the skimmer from the overflows, so I use an Eheim to feed it. The Eheim pump that feeds the skimmer is much louder than the Aquabee that makes the bubbles. I don't regret shelling out high dollars for high performance; I regret shelling out a few bucks for junk (all made in Taiwan or China) with questionable performance.
