Ah, pre-disastered. That's good. That was just a scary sight. I know some people that have really screwed up their wood floors with aquariums.

You putting a dolly under the 55 gallon salt water drum? Figured you would likely build something. I am too lazy, I ordered two heavy duty dollys for my two drums after I had to drain them into other containers just to move them yesterday. Tile is going down in my "fish room" as well as half of my house this week. Wish I had the setup that you are working on.

No dolly's on the drums. I can't think of any reason why I would need to move them.

I think I may have messed up with the bulkheads I ordered. "They" messed up for sure, they sent me the wrong ones, but I'm thinking that I don't need the size I ordered either.

I ordered 4 1.0 inch and 4 1.5 inch

The 4 1.0 inch are for the return lines from the OM 4 way.
One 1.5 inch is for the inlet to the OM 4 way.

The other 3 1.5 inch is where I think I screwed up. Actually, only on one of them probably. Two of these can be used to hook the two 29 gal tanks together for the fuge. These will work good. The other 1.5 inch I bought thinking that I would use it as the drain from the new frag tank. I don't know the thickness of the glass on the frag tank, it's still on order. It's a Perfecto 30 gal breeder 30x18x13. Looking at the size of the heavy duty 1.5 it looks like the weight of it alone could crack glass on a small tank.

Maybe I should use a standard 1.5 instead of the heavy duty on that tank. Or a heavy duty 1.0.

Not sure what to do.

For me, I like big drains. I wouldn't think you would need a heavy duty bulkhead on the frag tank - or any of the other ones (except the display).

So you are going to drill for all of the returns from the 4 way? I wanted to do that, but chickened out. The big honking overflows got in the way on the back wall and I couldn't drill the bottom. Should be cool!

Inlet and all 4 outlets of the 4 way will come through the back of the tank. Two about midway up behind the rockwork with nothing on them - just outlets. Two will come in near the bottom corners and be plumbed under the substrate and pop up in the front two corners of the tank. Basically, using the Wolf's Flow Diagram from the OM site.

Umm, don't remember. It cycles back and forth between two ports at a time. The two behind the rock kick in and push the water forward. Then the two in the front corners push it back and up towards the overflow. Then it will cycle again.

Yes it's a version 3. Just went to their website and checked it.

Got my two barrels plumbed together. I used bulkheads simply because I had them. Added an extra DIY gasket to the outside of each. This might have worked better with uniseals and I can do a quick change in the future if I find I need to. The extra spigot in the RO barrel is so that I can easily fill the 5 gal drinking water jugs that we use on our cooler. All that is left is plumbing a Mag 12 into the salt barrel but I don't have anymore bulkeads so this will be done with uniseals and of course I don't have the right size hole saw. Looks like another trip to HD on my way home from work tomorrow.

Hey, like that clean out on top of that barrel.
Looks like a good design.
