There is also one more thing that was kind of funny with this whole deal. When the bad membrane was in, it was eating up my DI like crazy. It ate up half the canister in the last 4-5 days. I guess it's because the membrane was bad and the DI resin was having to take everything out of the water. I hope this is the case. I got this resin from a new source so I can't say for sure. This stuff came from The Filter Guys. I used to purchase from Purely H2O.

I actually think you are OK, you are increasing the pressure on the run .My
Plumbing is 1'' out of my pump which reduces to 3/4 and splits to two return lines which in tun split to 4- 5/8 nozzles over the tank
On your RO/DI install a T and a down line with a shutoff valve after the carbon and before the membrane that way you can drain the carbon dust out when you change it and not have to do line switching.
The response above was concerning the T on the RO/DI unit.

At first I thought that reducing would simply increase the pressure but I don't think so. When you throttle back the ball valve on the output side of the pump it doesn't increase the pressure - it reduces the flow. Reeflo even says that you can throttle the darts back and they will consume less electricity so somehow back pressure on these motors kicks them into a lower gear, so to speak.
I'm replumbing again leaving the entire main section at 1.5" and reduce it at the T's. Since water will be going through 5 1" cut offs, I think it's safe to assume that would be the same as not reducing the pipe at all.

I'm done replumbing the back of the tank. At least to the point where I can refill it for an overall leak check (filling as I type). Didn't want to take pictures yet because I want to clean up some of the mess that is everywhere first.
Photos and update tomorrow.
