LOL. I searched for quite awhile last night on the net to find the cheapest price. Even though it's still outrageous I found it for about $400 less (with shipping) than most sites are advertising for.
$1880.56 shipped
I don't think I'm even going to plumb the chiller into the system. I highly doubt that I will need it. I will store it with the generator for the next hurricane that knocks out our power.
With not having to run a chiller, with not the additional heat of MH's running my home AC, with not having to replace bulbs every year - I'm hoping it pays off in the long run.

I wish I had the kahonies to pull the trigger on that deal. You will be our guinea pig! I hope (for your sake) they don't go on sale next year for $500. Ha!
I'm already going to be so broke I'll have to beg for frags just to be able to put something in the tank.

There is a club down here somewhere. I guess I need to check it out. Believe it or not, I have no friends (other than Highlife that I met on here) that even have reef tanks. I've been doing a solo thing here.
Had to put more silicone on one of the baffles in the sump I just rearranged tonight. It was leaking.
I'm going to try and clean the tank up tomorrow and refill with tap water so that Chris from reeflo can look at things on Saturday. IF everything goes OK then I'm still on schedule for aquascaping on Sunday.
Flatworm Plan of attack:
The live rock holding tank, as you know, has flatworms so I think that I will simply blow off the rocks as I remove them from that tank knowing that I won't get every one of them. I'll use flatworm exit in the new tank immediately while the numbers are low and I won't have to worry about a toxic crash. I will retreat the new system at least once more a week or two after it is up.
Hell, I may even consider flatworm exit sort of like a "once a month" wormer for your pet. If it is reefsafe (which I do believe it is from personal experience) then I don't see a problem with this. Simply use it once a month during the time that you are adding items to a system even if you don't see them. This way, you are killing the ones you don't see and the numbers you are killing won't crash your tank.
