Yes, you can dim the whites and blues independently, set it manually with timers or you can go on auto mode where it follows the sunrise/sunset/moonrise/moonset automatically increases and decreases the light intensity during the day (and night) and even dims out occasionally because a cloud passed over.

That is truly impressive; the tank looks great Chuck. I would love to see that light up close, it must be awesome. You can see how it glimmers from a still shot.

After only having it a couple of hours, I think it's awesome. I don't think I'm going to have any heat issues with the tank at all. The highest I've seen the temp within the unit is 88 Degrees but it isn't powered up to 100% either since it's on auto mode. I need Sun and Mon (I'm not working) to really see how it will look and operate over the course of the day to give more detailed thoughts. I think it's neat that the 2 sets of 2 fans operate independently and turn on and off and/or faster/slower depending on what's needed. It appears that they've definately made it as energy efficient as possible.
OTHER THAN THE NEW LIGHT: I've still got the diatom filter hooked up. I don't run it continuously because I've heard that you can actually strip your water with it (don't know if that's true). But this sugar sand I got is SOOOO dusty. Everytime the new diamond gobies come out and start sifting sand it clouds the entire tank. Looking on the bright side, it means I have good circulation. I'm going to pick up a filter sock for the sump as well to help take the dust out.

Now you know why they have the price tag they do! A lot of bells and whistles and thought went into them! Thanks be to myself and Dirk and a lot of beer at the IMAC they first displayed when the VERY first prototype was out for all those bells and whistles!
Actually it was at the very first IMAC ever and a lot of beer at 2am in my skivvies, when Pat from PFO and his cute secretary walk in with Dirk while I am trying to sleep (I was sharing a room with Dirk) and we were talking about the new PFO LED moonlights and thus the LED lighting was born. So in reality, . . . . Thanks to me for that new light hood you have over your tank!
