Thanks guys. I didnt like the stand at all but couldnt spend a ton of money buying it. I am very pleased how it came out. All I have left to do is finish building the filtration rack in the basement and connect the plumbing to it. Im already making a ton of water and have everything I need. The rock is done and waiting for its new home. I cant wait to aquascape it!!!!!! Most of the new rock is all hand picked with how I plan to do the scape.

here is some updates of the finished stand. I will be finishing the plumbing tomorrow. Im going to try to keep it as less complicated as possable but we will see how that goes... I can't wait to aquascape the project!!!! most of my corals have been fraged and awaiting the new frag system. All my rock is cured and ready for placement. How much sand should i take from the old system for the new one to seed it?

Im so glad I did the modification to the stand!!!

Thanks Audrey thats one of the wall sconces I have they are on each side of the great big front window in my great room.

So I decided today that since there will be all kinds of crap produced from the cycle that I would run a temp sump and skimmer under the tank till its finished. My thinking here is why dirty the new filtration system now when it will all be clean in a few weeks. Another thought was I will need to do a decent water change then anyway, so why not fill the rest of the system up then make the new connections.

KI did a great job a making a mess with the sand so aquascaping needs to wait till another day. No matter how much i clean the sand and how carefully i place it in it still makes a hell of a mess. pix to follow soon..

ps where the heck has Shane, Jared and a few others gone too??

Sounds like you are just having a blast doing this JTMAC! Hopefully the sand storms die down so you can get your arms wet playing with rocks. I'm still waiting for my rock to arrive so I can finally get my tank structured. It's fun thinking about and doing possible designs though!
