That thing is a monster. Crank it up. Let's see some goo.

I think the body is made in China; way to support communism!! Looks like it's built like a tank. Show us a few pictures of it running when you can.
Chuck,
Since I added the BM250, I must confess that it has not out skimmed the Deltec in any way. I can get the skimmate a bit lighter, but adding a gate valve on the Deltec does the same thing. My tank is lightly stocked, but I'm working on changing that.

I'm running my Deltec "wet" at the present time as I'm turning the system over to zeo. I still can't complain about the Deltec - it's working.

Nice setup!! Once that skimmer gets it's slime coating it should be chugging away like mad.

Yeah, it's just sitting there blowing bubbles and looking pretty right now. It's only been a few hours and not skimming a great deal. Still playing with the adjustment tube also. I suppose it will be a couple weeks before it hits it's stride.
I probably should have put a gate valve in line on the outlet, but the plumbing on this thing is all metric. It does provide adapters for several different options, but I just used the pipe that came with the skimmer, for the most part.
I still can't believe I got it in my stand. Their listed footprint was accurate. I knew it was going to be a tight fit. The one thing that I did have to do that I had not planned for, was position the skimmer back more than I had anticipated. I had to get some ventilation to the air cooling holes in the back of the pump housing. So, I placed the whole skimmer assembly on a board and pushed it back, so that the pump protruded a little from the back of the open stand. At least now it is getting some air and it is not running any hotter than the Dart on the closed loop.
Sure looks pretty! Keep us posted on the performace as my brother is looking for a large skimmer for when he hooks up his 155 and 70 together to a common sump and skimmer system.
I am running it at a little lower water level than normal right now to give it time to break in. Hopefully in a couple weeks I will have a better idea of how well it will actually work.
