LOL! No offense taken. I was just having some fun. I had a DIY thread about my nano last year, but I haven't seen it in a long time. Probably has no pics in it anymore anyway.
I guess I to have go back through all them
pages on Chucks thread to find his cut off finger LOL

You probably bought one of his regular designs. I sent him some plans for mine and he built it pretty much like I wanted it, BUT he did not build the bubble trap like I drew it up and instead put a large sponge mechanical filter in it's place. I didn't know he did that until I opened the box. Now I have trouble with microbubbles, because the sponge does not stop them completely. I am playing with it to see if I can tweak it before I do anything drastic. I really don't like to use sponge filters. I will give it some more time and effort before I build something else.
Well it’s good your water is oxygenated. What do you think the problem is? I would try a thicker pad and see if that works or place a filter sock on the intake.
Too much turbulence in a small area. The bubble trap would have done a better job than the foam. I don't like foam. I have changed the pump out from a Mag 12 to a 9.5. This slowed it down some and when I get the refugium on line, that will reduce it further. I do have a filter sock on the drain pipe now, but it is more of a mesh filter bag than a denser sock.
