I've seen the all white hermits. Common to this area. Not as prevalent as the stripped leg hermit though.

A couple of pics of the new tank at 10 days:

Ammonia has been at 0 for 4 days now.
Trites and trates were pretty high at 1 and 50 mg/L respectfully on Friday
A couple of water changes over the weekend of 20% and 10% and
Today NO2 was .05 and NO3 was 5

I speared 3 gorilla crabs last night and today I missed a good sized gorilla crab 3 times. He wont come out of his rock but I can take a stab at him when he gets close to one of his cave entrances.

I also transfered 3 of my larger hermits with the most attitude from the nano to the 55. They are chowing down on the red and green hair algae that came on the LR.
I wont get my full CUC from TBS until I get part 2 of my package and I am delaying that until my little visit to Toronto just after labor day.

BTW
The book above the tank is,"Little Nemo in SlumberLand" which was a
Sunday Comic Strip from 1905-1910 by Windsor McCay.
IMO the most amazing comic strip ever!

Hey with all them crabs you are getting you may want to check
your other shipment of LR before putting any more crabs in the tank.

That is the 5th gorilla crab that I have removed and there is one more that I know of. I could have gotten her tonight. I was removing some of the caulpera with my spear and all of a sudden she was right there. I was not in hunter mode and she crawled back under her rock.

I know I could use soda water to flush the crabs out of the rest of the rock when I get it but I would rather get the new rock in the tank asap. Besides I am rather enjoying bad crab hunting season.
Maybe too much!

I need to get this thread up to date.
After about 3 weeks of part one of the Tampa Bay Salt Water LR and LS I discovered that I do have a tiny (less than an inch long) black mantis shrimp. Then the next week i discover another one also black and very small.
I have feed both of them crab kabobs. I was hoping to get a mantis and I plan to keep them in the tank. They can help me with the gorilla crab population.

Normally one gets part 2 of the TBS package about 2 weeks after you get the first half.
However I had a vacation planned and then Richard from TBS was out of town for 10 days. So 5 weeks Later I make arrangements to pick up Part 2. I pick it up at the airport and bring it home.

More LR ~45 pounds will give me 90# total and 85# LS
I removed all the "feather" Caulerpa Mexicana before I put in the tank

Part Duex includes a CUC- 2 Sea cucumbers,a serpant star,
45 hermit crabs, 23 snails, and 2 peppermint shrimp.
Richard also includes many goodies that I didn't know exactly what I got until I open the boxes.

Here is the CUC and "goodies" acclimating
