Default My 46g Bow Front

I set up my 46g in December - just a very simple setup. I had a 3 Stripe Damsel in there that I've had for a few years. Regular HOB filter and standard lighting. Nothing crazy.

I am just now starting to get it really going. I've got 36" Compacts (not on yet because I just got them today and one of the bulbs is broken so I'm waiting for a new one )

I've also got a Coralife Needle Wheel Skimmer that will be going on as soon as I am done posting this!

I am also in the process of making my own HOB refugium. No sump as of right now. Maybe awhile down the road? I don't find them needed though so it's not a big deal to me.

This picture is from when I started my tank. Sorry for blurriness. I do it free hand and with a cheap digital!

This one is one from now

Ever thought of painting the back of the tank black, or putting a black background up? I love the effect of it and you don't see the HoB stuff in mine!

Through the back of the tank is the only time I can see my pistol shrimp - unless it's feeding time, of course!!

My cabinet was made with slots on top (under the tank) so if I look inside the cabinet and then up with a light I can see all the little trails my shrimp has made under the LR. If the shrimp is not out and abuot with his gobby buddy then I can at least see him doing his work under the LR.
