Get a length of PVC pipe and an end cap. Drill some holes along the length of pipe. You may need to experiment with the size of the holes. Remember you can always make them larger, but making them smaller is a real trick. Then feed the powerhead output into one end of the pipe and put the end cap on the other, and your all set.

I do like my hydorflo in my nano. Of course it still moves my sand from one corner of the tank but its great for the random flow over my zoas!

I do have yet another question: the powerhead in polly's 10 is 125gph. At around 7 gal of water that's a lirrle more than 17x water movement. However, no matter how I aim it(even straight up) it moves all the sand around(like to on top of the LR). Any suggestions on how to divert the flow? Tubing maybe?
Have you tried mounting the power head in the vertical middle and all the way to one side of the tank? Then direct the output flow to the length of the tank. That's how I've got my wife's 10 gallon nano circulating, aside from the overflow system.

I was thinking of something like that. Should I run it along the top or elbow it down and along the bottom to blow upwards?

Yeah. I have tried it everywhere that I can put it even on the bottom with the suction end up and pointed at the surface. Still blows like a hurricane.

Here's Polly's latest addition - 2 peppermint shrimp(cause the LR from my DT is covered with aptasia)
I added about 3 lbs more so thats a total of 15 lbs LR. She got lucky cause there was a hitchhiker hiding in the LR - notice the emerald crab on the right

Here is an update:

I'm just getting over the flu and couldn't stand laying around anymore. So I decided to try to modify the powerhead like DaveK suggested.

I used a piece of tubing from an old canister filter(perfect tight fit) and used yet another "little bottle" (thanks MDP) for the baffle/diverter. Works like a charm

Unfortunately, as usual, I got excited and rushed it a bit. I forgot to rinse the little bottle after drilling some holes so now there are quite a few little pieces of plastic floating around. Time to get the net and go plastic fishing.

In that last pic, FTS, you can see the large piece of LR on the right. It is sitting on 4 smaller pieces that are on the bottom glass. This makes a sort of cave(the bottom of the big piece has a hollow spot). The peppermints like to hide in here.

They ate the aptasia for a couple of days, then quit. Haven't touched it since. Maybe they're full? I have a small diatom bloom right now maybe that's ruined their appetite. Gonna have to wait and see what they do over the next week or so. I'm gonna do a pwc this weekend maybe that'll help.
