The white sharks would be enough to keep me from venturing too far into the water.

Hey Bru, hehe I see we have a fellow SA man?

Eastern Cape Port Elizabeth, Nah not much in the line of corals for us to collect in PE, however a little more to the east is the Transkei Coast, some nice goodies there. Most of our Corals are imported from Kenya and Fiji, the frag and share is another popular way

And well err hum we do have some very good beers in our little backward country

The U.S. had a microbrew revolution a few years ago and you can once again obtain good American beer without having to choke down the mass produced stuff.
Thats a good enough reason to come to the US again.

We are a small group of people; this is because those who wish to argue about skimmers and call people names are quickly dealt with. The moderators really do a good job to keep the forum above the third grade level.
Well you and they have done really well, hats of to your guys, similar to out home forum in SA, they have done real well. We have one brilliant forum and one less brilliant forum there.

I don't know about S.A., but with the U.S. dollar plummeting in value, the nice equipment from Europe is becoming more and more expensive. It's almost to the point where it is out of reach of the average hobbyist. This makes the Chinese made products seem like a good choice for the newcomers. We try to steer them away from the really bad products.
Well how shall I put this, A BK skimmers price is about ZAR 9 000 a Compact car is ZAR 80 000, so very few have the nice European goodies, although we have had some good wholesalers track down the best of the Chinese ( and believe it or not some of it is not terrible)
I will post some pics of the equipment we get if you guys like

Tombo my good man, nice to find you here
