Russ definitely knows more than me about water filters.

Out of curiosity though - test your softened water for phosphates.

UPDATE -

Well, I finally got the new RO/DI unit installed instead of using the garden hose attachment. I convinced my wife to let me have the pantry for this purpose.(had to order more cabinetry in exchange - our house is only 1 1/2 years old and now I have to remod the kitchen)

Do you think she'll notice the drain tube in the powder room?

Rico, "HELP, HELP - How do I get rid of all these Xenia's?"

Yeah all I do is move the Xenia close to anothr LR and whala more of them. no work involved. Triggers love to eat them to. That is if you get too many and need to get rid of some.

Rico,
If I was your wife I'd shoot you for that plumbing job. She must really love you, or the fish. How about buying a RO type faucet and plumbing it from under the sink?

I found a new baby in the back on the bottom while doing a little cleaning. Moved him up to the front about mid way up. Seems to love the extra light.

Also, I have only seen legs(by the dozens of dozens) i finally got to see one(at night)
some sort of starfish.

I don't know if they make anything that would be more effecient or not but you could simply add a wye under the sink and reduce the angled opening down to your tubing size.

Stipped legged little critter looks like a mini star. I have lots of them. Some stripped, some white and some black.
