Time for an update...

Swung by the LFS today to see what they got shipped in and this is what I got for $30 Beautiful Croc not even out of the bag yet!

Here is a FTS with more Live Rock added to fill out the tank. As you can see I still have a bit of crap collecting on the sand bed and LR... getting less and less with every WC!

Right side of tank close shot...

FTS of my 8g BC (4-head FS on bottom right, Galaxy bottom center, Green zoas bottom left, watermelon zoas above left, various zoas top right, GSP growing on back wall)

FTS of my custom 20g AIO prop tank... new 5 lbs LR with Pulsing Xenia (had to empty out biology classes tank for the summer, so its vacationing in here over the summer)

Left side of prop tank... Xenia, full shroom heads (red, frilly on left, green back left)

Lower Right frag rack with various zoas and sliced mushrooms in snail shells...

Lower Right frag rack again with watermelon zoas with various zoas around...

Finally my favorite... gorgeous wife holding our favorite catfish (yes I think I got the idea from Chuck... but my cat loves hiding in small tanks... if there is an empty tank... hes in it!) but the funny thing is shes wearing her "eco-friendly" shirt while holding a cat in a fish tank... slightly funny to anyone else?

Lookin Good.
Did you drill this 40 gallon tank? I bought a 40 breeder for my new sump that's going in the basement. I need to drill a few holes in it though.
I was at the fish store myself today. I picked up two little Emerald crabs. I have a nasty patch of green hair algae up top in the tank. It came along with one of the polyp colonies from a friend. Apparently I overfeed cause this stuff took off. My poor fish are now on dry food alone. No frozen. They are pissed and hungry. I just checked on the crabs and they are happily eating away at that algae patch. My lawnmower or tank has not touched it.

Too bad about the lawnmower, but the emeralds might do a fair job of it if there isn't any food for them to eat.

My 40 isn't drilled, the guy at the LFS makes custom overflow out of PVC that autostarts etc and is more efficient then overflow boxes etc.

I have a 29g sump/fuge that actually holds about 25g that I need to get pics of.

I estimate that I have about 75 lbs of LR and about 10 lbs of LS remaining.

Awww - Is someone feeling unloved?

In all honesty, this is the first time I've seen your last two posts. Don't know how I missed the one before this. I like the catfish (wife too - woo hoo!).
Tank looks great. A LOT better than mine at the moment. Keep up the good work.

I really like the clam. I haven't tried one yet. Still deciding on which kind to try first. What is your feeding routine for it?

Unloved? Always!

I am really enjoying the tank and like trying different things out. I know I probably shouldn't have the tang in there but I know yellows stay decently small in captivity so I don't feel so bad.

The clam is just awesome, got him for a steal for like $30 something, can't remember the exact price, its in another post of mine.

Feeding routine...

a cube of cyclops over the week, and a little seaweed for the tang (clowns eat it too) once a day to every other day.

Since I stopped feeding frozen formula one, I haven't had difficulty with algae blooms or cyano so I am trying to stay away from the frozen formula One.

Thanks for the kind words and have a great day!
