Awesome tank EK!!!
I'm curious to see the final identification. I also want to see a full tank shot.
BTW, here's something that I would consider doing with your anthelia. Break that shell it's on to separate it from the polyps as it will overrun them. Then put the anthelia on it's own little island where it can't attach to any of your LR structure.
In the first picture, is that an in-tank refugium? If so, put up a full pic of that too if possible.
I can see in your last pic that you have denitrification occurring in your sand bed. How deep is your sand?
Thanks Curt!
so it's bad to have anthalia attached to the LR? I was planning on seperating the anthalia and the polyps this weekend when I have some time to breath. Too much going on rigth now. my sand bed varries from 2 inches to 1 inch, it's deeper in the back. I only used 15 lbs of fine aragonite. Yes that's an in tank fuge, it's really helped out my pod population, not to the point of a big refugium which will replace this in a couple of months, but for now it helps.
reefrunner,
that pic you linked to sure doesn't look like anything I have in my tank, especially the rim of the shroom isn't jagged like that.

Anthelia is a quick grower. It can spread rapidly to places where you don't want it. That's why I made that recommendation. It's awesome because it provides movement for the tank. However, it's not awesome when it smothers another coral or grows where you don't want it.
Cool, thanks for the info. I may just do that tonight. I also found this sweet purple Zoo with a light blue center on one of my new rocks, I thkn I'll start a show rock or something and put the cool looking zoos on it. How is the best way to go about moving zoos? Is there any danger to the zoo, or myself for that matter?
Thanks

When I frag zoo's I actually chip the rock they are under with a chisel. I'm sure there is a better way than that. You might want to ask Travis (Tstaut). He has a propogation tank for zoos. http://www.reef-life.com
Most zoo's don't contain polytoxin. However, if you are allergic to bee stings, etc. wear latex gloves. (Actually a good practice in any case).
