Chuck, you better google horseradish, sauerkraut, and every thing else imaginable. As I made it all growing up! I used to love eating the sauerkraut right out of the 50 gallon stone crock the minute the rotten leaves were scooped off! Cleaned the old colon right out the next day too. But there was nothing like it. Best kraut in the world. However we canned the rest and it just was not as good after being canned as the day we cracked open that big fermented crock of salted cabbage!

I already love horseradish and sauerkraut. The sourer, the better on the kraut. Nothing beats a good Reuben sandwich for the best of both worlds but down here they don't put horseradish on it if you buy one in a restaurant so I have to make them myself.

I have a batch of Patrick's pizza dough fermenting in my fridge tonight for some pizza tomorrow. Yummmmmmmy.........

I have a new recipe for you guys. I had this at a local restaurant (Kitchen Chicken) and fell in love with it. It is actually a HEALTHY dish. Doing a search online it appears that this restaurant is a Florida thing although they now have their first one opened in Houston Tx.

It's their original Chop Chop and I have now duplicated it at home.

Make some boneless, skinless chicken breasts any way you want. Grilled, broiled, on a George Forman, whatever. Basic stuff - salt, pepper, dash of EVOO.

Make some yellow rice. The packaged stuff in the store is fine.

This dish doesn't need to be served hot so take your time at doing things. It's actually very good COLD.

Take your plate and put a bed of yellow rice on it.
Cube some chicken and put that over the bed of yellow rice.

Top it with some fresh homemade Salsa. If you don't make your own I can give you a recipe for that as well. From the grocery store at least buy the Restaurant Style Salsa in the cooler section. The Jar stuff on the shelves is crap.

Top that with some fresh shredded lettuce.

Top that with Curry Mustard - WHAT ??????

The curry mustard is what sets this dish apart from others. It doesn't sound like it would be good but I'm telling you - it's addicting. My head is now spinning trying to think of what else I can put this stuff on.

Curry Mustard Recipe:

Very simple.

4 Tbsp Light Mayonnaise
2 tsp Yellow Mustard
1 tsp Curry Powder
4-5 Tbsp water

Simply add all the ingredients and whisk it up.

You WANT to use light mayo. This is not an attempt to make it lower in calories. It simply tastes better. You WANT this stuff to be watery. It's a dressing - not a spread.

Pour some of this stuff over your chop chop and be ready for a new addiction.

Default Chipotle/Taco Del Mar Burritos-the easy way

Rice:

1 cup of boiling water
1 cup of minute rice
When done add the juice of one lime, one tablespoon of butter and 1-2 tablespoons of very finely chopped cilantro

Beans:

Refried or black out of the can

Steak:

Marinate steak in fajita seasoning with 1 tablespoon of crushed red pepper.

Grill and then thinly slice:

Cheese was monteray jack colby mix.

Pretty darn good overall!

C'mon. Someone HAS to try the chicken chop chop with curry mustard.

I made a fresh batch of salsa yesterday. Will be making this dish again tomorrow night. If you do your chicken on a George Forman it only takes a couple of minutes. The whole meal would be great for a Rachel Ray's 30 min meal.

It's really THAT easy.

Geez, dude you just posted it and I do not have time to change my mind much less cook too much.

Painting and redoing the bathroom, tearing apart the motorcycles for paint, figuring out the home theatre, brother wants his car fixed, working on the masters degree, sheesh, does anyone else want any of my time?

Chuck, I have a new dip for you. It was awesome!!!!
I found it looking for different crab dip for Superbowl, instead of my usual. One of the ingredients you are going to think that sounds awefull, but it isn't! It adds of flavor without being overwhelming
Use your small dip slow cooker.
1/2 C. Milk
1/3 C Salsa
3 Packages Cream cheese
16 oz of crab meat. (it called for imitation YUK, I used fresh.
1 Cup green onions, they are not in season and thick now, so use MUCH less.
1 can chopped green clili's
I softened my cream cheese a bit, and cubed it.
First
add milk and salsa to the crock
stir in rest, takes a while for dip to get good and hot, but it was delishous!

Sounds good to me but since my wife won't eat the crab I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to make it.
