Default New Feature, Intuitive Auto-Reply!!!

I am extremely pleased to announce the newest feature here at RAG, the Intuitive Auto-Reply.

As of today, the Intuitive Auto-Reply engine will be able to post instead of you, with what the system believes your comments would be. Precise engineering of past posts gives the Intuitive Auto-Reply engine the data it needs to work. Reviewing your previous posts is an excellent way to predict what your future posts should be. I am confident that this new feature will be well received. Letting the IAR engine predict your posts will save tons of time when posting to the forums.

Finally, a quick and easy way to post in discussion forums! Obviously, this could revolutionize the way discussions on the internet are handled! On the other hand, some people may be apprehensive about giving control of there messages to a computer. Let's all give this a shot though and use the new IAR engine!

The engine will go into effect later on today. The "reply to post" and "post new thread" buttons will be taken down. In their place will be an IAR button. Simply click that button and let the engine do the rest!

I saw this engine called Perceptive Auto Response (Par) on another reef site just 2 days ago. It worked pretty well by just typing a word and based on my previous posts, created a thread nearly exactly as I was going to type it. I know this engine takes up alot of server space and the other site had to severely reduce (delete) the number of photos it had stored in members galleries to make room. Pleae don't keep the engine as you will probably have to delete threads to make room (thus lowering my posts) or delete members photos which I like so much!

Cuddlefish, that is an old engine. This newer one is MUCH better. The server load from it is very low, so I don't think we will lose anything. Even if I DO have to cut back a bit on the space for pics or something, the benefits will be dramatic.

One thing I didn't mention above, the engine has been spoon fed reefing information from the acknowledged experts, people like Shimek, Sprung, Weiss, Goemans and Thiel. This knowledge in the computer is combined with your past posting practices to make the perfect post for you! Seriously, this is going to possibly be the best thing to ever happen on this site!

Scrooge how will IAR work for new members who may not have enough previous posts for review?

Most members have previously posted on some other reefing boards. So, the IAR has the ability to read cookies on your machine. It then "crawls" those other sites, searching for your posts. Using this information it works just like normal, just as if you had already posted on RAG!

If you have never posted on a reefing site then the IAR is disabled until you have made a minimum of ten posts. By that time it has enough info to do the job.

So, is there a manual override to this? If you take these buttons away can you explain how one replies in their own words?

Sorry, I have never seen this before.
